Redirect pages can have categories?

Redirect pages can be given categories? I didn't think that worked? I'm a little startled. -- David Welbourn 18:35, 11 September 2009 (PDT)

Well, yes they can! I had even already used that (so that CPC Attack! could redirect to the Amstrad Computer User page and also be listed in Category:Non-IF magazines).
But I made only very few IFID redirect pages because I wasn't sure what I did was exactly what you had in mind. Apparently it wasn't? Or do you actually prefer it with redirect pages in categories? --Eriorg 04:19, 12 September 2009 (PDT)
True, it wasn't quite what I had in mind, but I like it. You may continue creating IFID redirects that way, and I'll just add the pages that I wanted to create at the top of the category list. It'll be good. -- David Welbourn 07:38, 12 September 2009 (PDT)

IFDB now links to IFWiki via IFIDs

I forget exactly when, but I asked Michael J. Roberts if it might be possible to link to IFWiki pages from IFDB pages by using the game's IFID. As of March 22, 2011, this is now happening. Hooray! A new Links section can appear at the bottom of some IFDB game pages. If the game's first IFID has a page at IFWiki (with the "IFID:" prefix), then the link appears. Otherwise, no link appears. Thanks, Mike! -- David Welbourn 11:45, 29 March 2011 (PDT)

I had the idea that it would be nice to edit some of the templates so that, for example, linking the a storyfile in the IF archive would then add a link to a play online website for it, if it's a supported format. Would you be able to install this extension so that things like that would be possible? [1] --Dannii 22:30, 30 March 2011 (PDT)
