This is the talk page for Inform 7 for Programmers. See How to edit IFWiki to find out about using talk pages, and editing the wiki generally.

This just has to be split up into multiple pages. It's just too much for the wiki software to deal with. I'm going to try to split it into 5 parts, each containing five sections from the original. This page will just be an index. -- David Welbourn 05:57, 11 January 2009 (PST)

Okay, so now it's split up. Now the pages can load again in a reasonable time. (Another (future) concern with this tutorial is that, now that it's in IFWiki, it should reference other applicable pages in IFWiki. But since most of those other pages don't exist yet, that can wait.) -- David Welbourn 07:46, 11 January 2009 (PST)
Dave Cornelson points out that since I split the page, now readers no longer have the option of printing the entire document at one go. I, of course, hadn't even thought of that. For now, I would suggest visiting the original document at the author's site and print from there, if you want a printed copy. If you don't mind printing one part at a time, there's a "Printable version" link in the Toolbox on the left that omits the wiki-icing from the top and left of the page. I think the only way I could offer both split and unsplit versions of the document from the wiki is to move the bulk of the content into various templates... but that's kinda crazy to do unless there's a strong demand for it. -- David Welbourn 18:16, 11 January 2009 (PST)
