How It Begins
You are an actress playing a character called Hera Wynn in a play. Your costume is a bedraggled aqua gown, and you are carrying a locket.
The play begins in a swamp where you meet Syde Kikke. He gives you a flamingo (for a weapon) and a pez (for rations) when you explain your mission: to deliver the locket to the orphanage. He then exits the stage, leaving you amongst the trees, fallen logs, and the croaking of frogs.

Trivia and Comments
- The play Rito and Imita is from the opening sequence of So Far (Andrew Plotkin; 1996; Z-code).
- Another game with an on-stage actor as the PC is Within a Wreath of Dewdrops, or, A Poisoned Zenith (Sam Kabo Ashwell and Jacqueline A. Lott, both as "Alphonse de l'Entaille"; 2005; Z-code).
- The character names are puns: heroine and sidekick.
- It's possible to lose and die in this game, but you really have to make a deliberate effort to do so.
