How It Begins
You are the Tin Woodsman of Oz (specifically, a state-of-the-art DWC-397, a Deluxe Wood Chopper), carrying your axe. You've spent many monotonous days in this hideous green palace in the Emerald City, and you're throughly sick of all your companions, especially that horrible brat Dorothy. Your private suite only contains a huge log which you chop out of boredom; wood chips are everywhere. Somehow, you'll have to find a way to get Dorothy back to Kansas, wherever that is. But first you need to get your oilcan, which that wretched brat has stolen!
Notable Features
Author's Comments
Tin was inspired, in an oblique way, by Gregory Maguire's novel Wicked. It's about as far from Wicked as you could get in tone, but the connection will be readily apparent.
As an entry in IntroComp, the current version of Tin has few features, though not everyone has noticed the extent to which it's possible to converse with the characters. It seems fairly certain that the final puzzle, when written, will involve the Wizard's balloon, but even that is not guaranteed.
