Talk:Selma's Will

This game is the third game in the "The Monster in the Mirror" series, although I can only find one of the prequels. (Or perhaps she edited them into a single game.) Ralphmerridew 18:05, 28 March 2007 (EST)

• I believe I've figured this out. The best source of info I found on this series was Reviews Exchange 4, where Rafgon reviewed all three, and best of all, listed links where to download the games from. I thought at first the two games should be in the Shadow Vault at /games/monsterinmirror1.taf and /games/monsterinmirror2.taf respectively, but neither are, and I believe you only found the one /games/monstermirror.taf file instead. That is actually just Part 2. Fortunately, Reviews Exchange 4 also listed /rex04.zip which contains all the games reviewed in the issue, and a comparison of monsterinmirror2.taf with monstermirror.taf confirmed they are identical. That means Shadow Vault appears to be missing Part 1. (Except in rex04.zip, which is hardly obvious.)
  
  I'm not sure why both versions aren't listed properly at Shadow Vault, but I can tell you that Mystery was careless in naming the games. The first part claims its title is just "The Monster in the Mirror" and the second part says it's "Monster in the Mirror", and neither says "Part 1" or "Part 2" or anything like that within the games. So it's quite easy to casually think one is the other, or that one is an update of the other, when in fact it was a new game entirely. -- David Welbourn 19:04, 29 March 2007 (EST)
