Jim MacBrayne

From IFWiki

Dr Jim MacBrayne is a British text adventure and interactive fiction author.

A former medical professional, Dr MacBrayne's experience with computers dates back to 1979 when he purchased his first Commodore PET. Jim was one of the first British text adventure players and authors, writing games in BASIC for that system (and also later Commodore machines), which were released by the pioneering British software publisher Supersoft.

Inspired by his love of Infocom, his games written for the Commodore Amiga, such as The Golden Fleece and The Holy Grail had similarly verbose text and a robust parser. His games won both the 1st and 3rd place 16-Bit text adventure prizes in the inaugural Adventure Convention Awards 1991.

Jim returned to writing interactive fiction in 2020 with the game Time's Enigma.
