Shaun McClure

Shaun G. McClure is a British author and illustrator, who is known for his work on ZX Spectrum loading screens in the 1980s and 1990s.

In the 1980s he worked with Ian Smith, providing the in-game graphics for a series of text adventures, including Excalibur - Sword of Kings.

Shaun produced a series of illustrations for John Wilson's Fuddo and Slam. John Wilson adapted many of these illustrations for use on the loading screens for games from his Zenobi Software.

Shaun has produced a series of guides to games for the ZX Spectrum, including several books focussing on IF/text adventures. His wider written work includes a book of interviews with stars of film, TV and music from the 70s and 80s, and a guide to the work of famous film and tv model maker Martin Bower (who's credits included Alien, and Flash Gordon).
