This game was presumably based on "The Game of XYZABCDE" (see Links section to play online).
Notable features
- The status window includes a compass to tell you which directions you are allowed to go.
- It is the first game to support auto-restore (if supported by the interpreter; currently, this means only Glulxe with Enhanced GlkTerm).

*** Game of XYZABCDE -- Part II ***
This game is public domain. It is a sequel to a ZZT game which is also public domain and written by the same author, although this game is not ZZT and is a text adventure game instead.
The status window (if supported by your interpreter) displays the current location and the amount of money you have. On the right is displayed a compass to tell you which directions are valid. The game can still be played even if the status window does not work, though.
Type "verbs" for a list of verbs; asterisks indicate system verbs. (This means you do not have to guess what verbs are needed.)
Perhaps should be mentioned here the "restart with script" command, which may be useful if you want a transcript starting from the beginning, but without including the restart command in the printout.
If you are making a transcript and want to include comments in the transcript, type # at the beginning of a line; it will then ignore that line of input (without displaying an error message).
If you have comments/questions/complaints, you may wish to post them on ifMUD and/or Usenet; I want to see what you have to say. You may also wish to look in the included hint file for hints; use FreeUHS or OpenUHS to display the hint file. Source code is also available, in case you want to look at that for hints or for any other purpose (e.g. to copy some into your own game, or to modify it, or just if you are curious).
