We say "mostly" undesirable because some of the features listed below might be desirable when used cleverly or put to good artistic effect.
Also note: Many of the terms used to name the features listed below were invented for IFWiki and are not part of the normal vocabulary used in IF reviews. Some terms were invented out of necessity, either because the article author didn't know the proper term or because no proper term has entered common usage.
