How it begins
It is 479 A.D. in Po Valley, Italy. You are Numaziano, the last poet of the Western Roman Empire, carrying a small bottle of ink and an iron key. You are in your spartan tent a few miles away from Mediolanum. You see a closed oblong box and a glass of wine on a table here.
Civilization as you know it may be ending with the invasion by Gothic barbarians. The story of Rome, its glory and civilization, must not be forgotten. You must tell its story.
