IFWiki:Content policy

From IFWiki

  • This policy was written as a result of the UK's Online Safety Act 2023, but our policy on content has not changed.
  • We have no age verification measures in place as the law does not require it. This is because we do not permit content which is defined as "primary priority content that is harmful to children" (section 61). This includes pornographic content (other than text-only content), and content which encourages or promotes suicide, deliberate self-injury or eating disorders.
  • We also do not allow "priority content that is harmful to children" (section 62). This includes certain abusive content; content encouraging violence or dangerous stunts; and content which depicts real or realistic serious violence against a person or animal, or depicts the real or realistic serious injury of a person or animal in graphic detail, or realistically depicts serious violence against a fictional creature or the serious injury of a fictional creature in graphic detail.
  • However, IFWiki is not a website for children, especially as descriptions of some games are unsuitable for children. Supervise your children if you let them use IFWiki.
  • Email [email protected] to report any concerns about content. We will remove illegal content or content defined as harmful to children as soon as we receive a request. Alternatively, as the website is a wiki, you can delete such content yourself.
