How It Begins
You are prompted to enter your name.
Samantha Bryar is the kind of girl you always imagined yourself marrying when you were a little kid, before the realities of life caught up with you. These days, you're sceptical as to whether a prostitute would succumb to your advances. Your graduation is coming up and, unsurprisingly, you do not have a date to the formal dance.
It's not that you're some hideous, repulsive monster, just that you have a crippling inability to talk to women. Well, really you can talk to them just fine, but only if you're not trying to hit on them, then you become a pathetic, quivering mound of jelly. You actually get along pretty well with girls, but they always just want to be friends.
That's really the problem. You would be fine if you didn't really care whether the girls wanted to go out with you or not, but since you always do care when you've gotten up the nerve to ask a girl out, you always get your charm sucked out of you with a high-powered vacuum cleaner. The more wonderful the girl, the worse you became, and Samantha Bryar was the most wonderful of them all.
