Portable Document Format (PDF) is a standardized format for distributing and printing documents.
In the context of interactive fiction, PDF may be used for the game itself, e.g. as a kind of Choose your own adventure game book, or more commonly used for the documentation accompanying a game, including maps and walkthroughs.
