The Visible Zorker
From IFWiki
The Visible Zorker is a project by Andrew Plotkin to allow playing through the Infocom games (not just the Zork series, despite the name) in a web-based interpreter while inspecting their inner workings, with respect to the original ZIL source code and internal variables. Each game has been somewhat manually reverse-engineered, and augmented with commentary and other hand-crafted aids to understanding.
The project started in January 2025, initially just for Zork I. Zork II followed a year later, followed by a Patreon fundraiser to do the rest of Infocom's text-mode games, with an intended release rate of one per month.
