How it begins
It is September 21, 1912. You are Thomas Needham, a teacher who has been assigned to the village of Aberwick, in the heart of Essex. You have just arrived at the town, and you have very little enthusiasm for this place, which seems to you like the sticks. Your first order of business will be tracking down the previous village teacher, and visiting the church, which is where you will be teaching in lieu of a schoolhouse.
You are currently standing on the gravel road which leads into the village. Your inventory contains a journal.
Trivia and Comments
This game was inspired by the following entry from H. P. Lovecraft's commonplace book: "Disturbing conviction that all life is only a deceptive dream with some dismal or sinister horror lurking behind."
