How it begins

You are delivering a sealed package, contents unknown, to J. Daggett Winton, noted archeologist, explorer, inventor, mathematician, and philosopher. But since the death of young bride Emmeline three years ago, J. Daggett is also a recluse. You stand outside the main entrance to his magnificent Gothic mansion, eager to meet this legendary man.
