How it begins
Your skin itches.
You struggle toward wakefulness. This doesn't feel like waking up usually does, and the hard surface beneath you doesn't feel like your bed. You're woozy and nauseated, and there's an itchy prickling all over your skin. What happened? You'd been on a date with that guy from online, and then ... you don't remember.
You force your eyes into a squinting semblance of "open" and slowly sit up. This definitely isn't your apartment; the walls are a dull, sterile white and there's a huge window through which you can see the sun coming up --
Oh no. You've got to get out of here.
