How It Begins

You're in a room above a large grid. Your objective is to escape the game, by committing suicide, by smashing the gas meter. To do that, you have to go into the game and find the hammer. To do that, you use the teleporter to transport into the game. Once you teleport, you can't get back to the entry room except by the return teleporter. But getting to that room isn't easy.

The game demonstrates the implementation of a teleporter in Hugo, in which you can teleport to any room, teleport only to rooms that have an incoming teleporter, teleport only to rooms that have an incoming teleporter, or teleport to a room that has both.

The game was first done as a challenge to someone who said you couldn't do a general teleporter in Hugo. This then spawned the idea of something even more interesting, a sequel in which you have a hand-held teleporter called a Tripkey.
