(Redirected from XYZZYNews)

XYZZYnews was an interactive fiction publication — "the magazine for interactive fiction enthusiasts" — and website edited by Eileen Mullin. There were 20 issues published from 1995 to 2001, plus two e-newsletters in 2001. Issues were usually available in both plain text and PDF formats. Some issues were published in HTML as well on the XYZZYnews website, although some of those versions have been phased out.

The XYZZYnews website also hosted the XYZZY Awards (from 1996 to 2008) and IntroComp (from 2002 to 2008).

The last update on the front page of XYZZYnews.com appears to have been made in 2009. The last available Wayback Machine snapshot of the front page is from October 2016. By the end of 2016, the site had gone offline.

While backups of the site were previously available at the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, as of July 2018 the backups are hidden from public view due to a robots.txt file put up by the current domain owner (a cybersquatter).
