(NOTE: The title could be translated as "The City of Waters".)

How it begins

The game begins with a quotation, the author of which isn't specified, meaning "When will end this society debased by all the debaucheries, debaucheries of spirit, body and mind?"

You're described as an approximately 40-years-old male human, "surviving". You wake up in what used to be a dentist's room decades ago: everything but the chair was stolen long ago. You're wearing pants and a shirt, and you're carrying a flask and a Geiger counter. You're very tired after an exhausting day and a too short night, but you know you must go away now, because your mission is the most important thing.

The game is story-driven; the story is post-apocalyptic science fiction.

Notable features

  • The player character's personality and mission are almost unknown to the player at the beginning and become clearer and clearer during the game. To reflect this, the answer to >X MOI (which means >X ME) becomes longer and longer.
  • There are several endings. Which one is obtained is determined by the player character's physical and moral state (which you can know by typing >ETAT) and by the score.
  • You can win the game with only 19 points out of 30. However, the maximal score is required to reach the best ending.
  • The verbs for the five senses are implemented. Most or all of them are required to win the game with the maximal score.
  • There are several quotations during the game. Their author is only divulged at the end (and only in one of the endings).
