How it begins

The game begins with a box quote: "In the event of my disappearance, my legacy shall not be distributed until every room in my museum has been searched in case I can be located." --Last Will and Testament, E. Mulldoon

PROLOGUE: You are a young boy running pell mell through the forest, persued by men because you shot one of the King's deer and stole a piece of blue coral from its neckband. In a clearing, a tall elm tree stands alone, with a mesh of purple light playing over its roots. Putting the coral in the mesh creates a crackling yellow vortex, which you promptly leap into, grabbing the coral as you fall through the ground -- to reappear on a high turret two miles away.

NOW: You stand in front of your grandfather's old museum carrying a note from Grandfather, the museum key, and a blue metal torch. It's raining. Grandfather disappeared three weeks ago, his will finally read, and now you need to search the museum to receive your legacy.

A week from now, friends, neighbours, and the police will search for you in vain, but perhaps it's best not to know.
