How it begins

You have just signed onto ifMUD. Your avatar, or player character, wakes up in Dorm A, carrying nothing. You immediately sense something is different about the mud, something serious, something urgent. You should find out what's happened.

Notable features

  • The unofficial sequel to You are a Chef! (Dan Shiovitz; 2000; TADS 2). Prior knowledge of both You are a Chef! and ifMUD is required in order to finish the game.
  • Several references to ifMUD regulars. Dan Shiovitz, as inky, is an NPC.
  • A small section of ifMUD is reproduced in this game, including the phone booth from Pick Up The Phone Booth And Die (Rob Noyes; 1996; Z-code).
