How it begins

"Sigh! Yet another darn treasure hunt game!"

You might be anyone, carrying nothing, standing in an undescribed kitchen. The only furniture is a table with a note on it, telling you to put the TREASURES on the table.

Notable features

  • Inspired by Adventureland (Scott Adams; 1978). In particular, the game is an old school treasure hunt, one word of each treasure is styled all in capital letters (e.g.: a SILVER collar), and the table is the designated trophy case.
  • Other old school features are the maze and the slider puzzle, also known as a 15-puzzle. Presumably, the latter is what the game's title is named after.
  • Very sparse implementation. Most rooms are little more than their name and a list of exits.
  • Conversation with the NPC Charlie is limited entirely to "CHARLIE, [command]" and "ASK CHARLIE FOR [object]" directives.
  • Maximum score is 5 points.

Trivia and Comments

  • Dedicated to Sam Loyd (1841–1911), inventor of the 15-puzzle.
